4 d0 s. f# ?6 w0 JResearch interests in Khosla's laboratory lie at the interface of enzyme chemistry and medicine. For the past several years the group has investigated the catalytic mechanisms of polydetide synthases, with the concomitant goal of harnessing their programmable chemistry for the biosynthesis of new, pharmaceutically relevant natural K2 h p3 A! @+ Q7 j
products. Recently, the group has also undertaken a new project aimed at understanding and modulating the molecular basis of Celiac Disease, a genetically inherited human autoimmune disorder.; S' `2 d' f% i' S; P3 e2 B* A
